January Gaming Revenues Rise for PA, Area Casinos

January Gaming Revenues Rise for PA, Area Casinos

March 2, 2026

HARRISBURG PA – Combined revenue from all forms of gaming across Pennsylvania totaled $590,644,755 during January 2026, an increase of more than 11.6% over the same month last year, the state Gaming Control Board reports.

The rise was driven by a 22.8% increase in online (“iGaming”) slots revenue, and a 38.6% jump in sports wagering revenue, its figures show.

Revenues from two casinos within the TriCounty region – Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia (Montgomery County), and Hollywood Casino in Morgantown (Berks County) – also reported overall increases, according to the board.

At Valley Forge Casino Resort, January 2026 revenues of $105,793,121 were 8.18% higher than the $97,789,190 brought in during January 2025. Valley Forge saw same month year-to-year revenues climb 16.61% in iGaming and 3.41% at slot machines. However, its retail table games revenue dropped 19.58%, and total sports wagering revenue decreased 3.92%.

Hollywood Casino Morgantown reported January 2026 revenues of $9,561,136, just slightly higher (0.19%) than $9,543,003 collected in January 2025. Its same month year-to-year revenues for sports wagering rose 10.05%, while retail table games revenue fell 13.65%, and slot machine revenues declined 3.58%. No iGaming revenue was reported.

Placing Bets on the Super Bowl? Not As Hot

Wagers placed in Pennsylvania through retail and online sports books on the 2026 Super Bowl game between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots totaled $59,275,463, the board reported separately.

Of note: the total was 41.6% lower than wagers placed within the state last year for the Super Bowl, in which the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs faced off.

Bettors could choose to place Super Bowl wagers in Pennsylvania at 17 retail locations and through 11 online wagering sites. Figures show that 90.6% of the money wagered was through online sites.

The Gaming Control Board regulates slot machines and table games in casinos, internet gaming, sports wagering, fantasy contests and video gaming terminals.
