Dunham’s Sports Signs Coventry Shoppes' Anchor Lease

Dunham’s Sports Signs Coventry Shoppes’ Anchor Lease

February 22, 2026

POTTSTOWN PA – Dunham’s Sports, a sporting goods retailer privately owned by Dunham’s Athleisure Corporation, reportedly has signed a lease to occupy more than 88,000 square feet of space as an anchor store in The Shoppes at Coventry, 352 W. Schuylkill Rd.

The Dunham’s signing was hailed Feb. 12 (2026; Thursday) by CoStar, a commercial real estate news source. It described the transaction as one of three “prominent retail leases” in the Philadelphia area, “negotiated by top dealmakers” during the fourth quarter of 2025.

The company’s commitment follows the move last year of Dick’s Sporting Goods. Dick’s vacated the North Coventry property and relocated to Upland Square in West Pottsgrove.

Opening Date Awaited

An opening date for Dunham’s has not been announced. Some renovation seems to be under way at The Shoppes, as windows on the facade of the former Kohl’s store there are now covered with paper, and dumpsters sit outside. A large sign atop the building proclaims “Coming Soon, Dunham’s Sports.”

Formerly known as Coventry Mall, The Shoppes at Coventry is managed by Pennmark Properties in Plymouth Meeting. It bought the mall in April 2016 for an undisclosed price.

Pennmark is promoting Dunham’s in joining other retailers at The Shoppes. They include Boscov’s, Gabe’s, and Books A Million. Also at the center are Big Phil’s Bar And Grill, Fit Life Fitness and Pickleball, CubeSmart self storage, and Community Health and Dental Care.

200+ Stores and Growing

The “Pottstown” Dunham’s reportedly will be among its largest locations. The company operates more than 200 stores; more than a dozen of them are in Pennsylvania. Between August and December 2025, the company opened six new stores in Montana, Virginia, New Mexico, Michigan, Oklahoma, and Kentucky, company press releases show.

Dunham’s says its locations offer “expansive footwear and apparel departments; a large hunt, fish, camp, and water sports area; and a broad selection of fitness equipment.” Stores also provide “an expanded selection of equipment for all team sports, a large golf department, a broad selection of indoor and outdoor games, and other merchandise.

Among its featured “big-name brands,” it says, are Under Armour®, Adidas®, Carhartt®, The North Face®, Yeti®, Callaway Golf®, Levi’s®, Brooks®, Birkenstock®, Nordic Track®, Pro-Form®, Easton®, Rawlings®, Federal®, Winchester®, Vortex®, Smith and Wesson® and others.
