LONG POND PA – For a third consecutive year, Pennsylvania’s tourism promotional agency will serve as title sponsor of a 160-lap, 400-mile NASCAR Cup Series race in June at Pocono Raceway, the state reports.
“The Great American Getaway 400, presented by Visit PA” is considered “a tourism engine” for the state, according to Deputy Secretary of Tourism Anne Ryan. The race is estimated to generate $75-$100 million in annual economic impact, and attract fans from all 50 states and several countries. Regional businesses, hotels, and restaurants will benefit, she notes.
The event is returning to the raceway – known as “The Tricky Triangle” because of its unique three-turn layout – on June 14 (2026; Sunday) at 3 p.m. It will be nationally broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video, the Motor Racing Network, and SiriusXM. It also is expected to reach more than 195 countries in 29 languages through NASCAR international television partners.

Showcasing PA as a Destination
The race “showcases everything that makes Pennsylvania a top-tier destination for visitors in 2026,” Gov. Josh Shapiro proclaims in a Tuesday (Feb. 10) media release.
This year the state also will observe the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia. Other major events on tap this year are Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game, a PGA championship, the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh, and the FIFA World Cup.
The state’s continued promotional “investment” in the marquee race helps ensure its place “on a global stage while delivering meaningful economic impact to the region,” Pocono Raceway President Ben May adds. Tickets to the race are already available online.
Visit PA is the state’s official tourism resource, as part of the Department of Community and Economic Development. It presents Pennsylvania as “The Great American Getaway.”
