Using Skills to Help Others
Rothenberger’s leadership experience stems in part from her role as a female executive in the male-dominated construction industry. She also draws from “a violent 2022 attack that motivated her to become stronger and more intentional,” according to her biography.
Now, Rothenberger says, she uses her skills to “build a life rooted in purpose, and to help others achieve their own growth and success.”
The speaker has been a presenter at TEDx, Princeton University, MEA Energy Association, Merck, and the National Association of Women in Construction.
She also is the author of “Audacious Expansion: Breaking Free From Limitations to Create Your Ultimate Life.” The book that will be available at the event for purchase and post-presentation signing. Amazon describes it as a “fearless guide for women who are done playing small.”
Those who attend the seminar will hear about how to make clearer decisions; implement stronger, beneficial interpersonal boundaries; and demonstrate greater confidence in work and life, Rothenberger says.
The Work of Pottstown CARES
Pottstown CARES’ students invited Rothenberger as the capstone of a series of professional development experiences in which they participated this winter. They included a Linked-In style headshot photo shoot, a workshop with Pottstown entrepreneur Audra Hammer-Ross on “establishing a professional presence,” and several interview preparation programs.
CARES students met Rothenberger “at one of our round-table dinner meetings,” Scanlan says, and “were inspired by her story.” They also were “excited about the prospect of sharing her skills as a speaker with our local community, as part of their professional development program,” she adds.
CARES was founded in 2013. Its name reflects its supportive efforts in Pottstown, which align with core pillars of community, awareness, responsibility, education, and sustainability. Student adviser and CARES Community Organizer Katie Scanlan works with Pottstown High School Director of Cocurricular Activities Justin Baker in guiding students as they annually identify and complete focused activities.
