MOUNT HOLLY NJ – A National Weather Service cold weather advisory remains in effect Monday through 10 a.m. across the greater Pottstown area. “Very cold wind chills” are expected to drive feels-like temperatures to as low as 9 below zero, it says.

“The cold wind chills could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken,” the weather service office for the Philadelphia region reports. Travelers are urged to “use caution while traveling outside, and to “wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves.”
The advisory extends to all of Montgomery and Chester counties, and specifically applies to the boroughs of Pottstown, Collegeville, Norristown, Honey Brook, West Chester, and Kennett Square, the weather service says.

Blowing winds throughout the weekend caused some road shoulders near open fields to fill with blown and drifting snow. A few were seen Saturday (Feb. 7, photos above and below) in the Pottstown area. Accidents resulted occasionally, according to reports within Montgomery County.
