MOUNT HOLLY NJ – The National Weather Service, in a report Monday (Jan. 26, 2026) from its Philadelphia office, says totals for fallen snow in eastern Berks County peaked at 12.5 inches in Union Township. In western Montgomery County, Skippack topped the list at 12.2 inches. Northern Chester County’s winner was East Coventry Township, at 10.5 inches.
Not far behind in eastern MontCo, but close competitors for the dubious title of its “highest snow winner,” were Collegeville at 11.5 inches, and Pottstown at 11.0 inches.
Snowfall locations below were chosen by Travels With The Post because they are within its coverage area. All were measured by trained spotters and other observers deemed qualified by the weather service.
Final snow totals for Sunday (Jan. 25, 2026) in selected western Montgomery County municipalities are:
- Skippack, 12.2 inches, measured at 6:30 p.m.;
- Collegeville, 11.5 inches, 9:12 p.m.;
- Pottstown, 11.0 inches at 5:30 p.m.;
- New Hanover Township, 10.5 inches at 9 p.m.;
- Norristown, 10.5 inches at 9:41 p.m.;
- Trappe, 10.0 inches at 8 p.m.;
- Lower Salford Township, 9.0 inches at 4 p.m.;
- Salford Township, 9.0 inches at 9 p.m.;
- Stowe, 8.5 inches at 12:15 p.m.;
- Lower Pottsgrove Township, 8.5 inches at 1 p.m.;
- Worcester Township, 8.0 inches at 4 p.m.; and
- King of Prussia, 7.6 inches at 9:20 p.m.
The totals reflect the highest measurement for an individual municipality. Other measurements taken in the same municipality, but with lesser snowfall amounts, were excluded.
Similarly, highest snow totals in selected eastern Berks County locations were found in:
- Union Township, 12.5 inches at 8:30 p.m.;
- Huffs Church, 11.5 inches at 6:45 p.m.;
- Oley, 10.0 inches on Jan. 26 (Monday) at 8 a.m.; and
- Reading, 9.4 inches on Jan. 26 at 7 a.m.
Highest snow totals in selected northern Chester County locations included:
- East Coventry Township, 10.5 inches at 11:30 p.m.;
- Phoenixville, 10.4 inches at 6:15 p.m.;
- West Chester, 9.7 inches on Jan. 26 at 7 a.m.;
- Spring City, 9.5 inches on Jan. 26 at 8:05 a.m.; and
- East Vincent Township, 8.9 inches at 6:04 p.m.
