LIMERICK PA – Applications are now being accepted from “enthusiastic individuals” interested in working for the Limerick Township Parks and Recreation Department on its Summer 2026 seasonal staff, it reports.
The department, in a Friday (Jan. 9, 2026) e-mail, says it has begun “recruiting summer camp staff” responsible for “creating unforgettable memories for campers.” Candidates must be age 15 or older, and would work within either the Camp Shamrock or Shamrock Adventures programs.
Camp Shamrock is for campers entering 1st through 4th grades. Shamrock Adventures is for campers entering 5th through 7th grades.
Openings are available for three different positions: camp counselor, assistant site supervisor, and site supervisor. These are full-time weekday jobs that will last for a seven-week season, from June 15 to July 31. Staffers do not work nights or weekends, according to the e-mail. Wage rates, if any, were not mentioned.
“This is a great opportunity to build leadership skills, make new friends, and have an unforgettable summer working with kids,” the department adds on its Facebook page.
Additionally, the department operates a “Counselor-in-Training” program. It may be ideal for, and provide valuable experience to, children in 8th or 9th grades who are “aging out of camp, but (are) too young to work at camp,” the township reports.
