New Year’s Eve Plans Still Up In The Air? Hop To It!

POTTSTOWN PA – Haven’t yet finalized your plans for New Year’s Eve (Dec. 31, Wednesday)? Better hop to it! The good news is, there are plenty of alternatives for children, families, singles, couples and entire groups. Some offer full meals or champagne toasts. The majority are ticketed; only a few have free admission or no cover charge.

Here’s a list of more than a dozen opportunities across the greater Pottstown area, compiled by Travels With The Post. The list has been updated with additional entries since its initial publication Tuesday (Dec. 30) at 4:15 p.m.:

Before Noon Choices

  • New Year’s Eve Parties, 10 a.m. to noon, and 1-3 p.m. (two separate sessions), each ticketed; offers “a massive balloon drop, bounce houses, tasty snacks, crafts, and a ‘midnight’ countdown without staying up too late;” held at The Barn Yard, 305 2nd Ave. Ste. 212, Collegeville PA
  • “Noon Year’s Eve” Party, starts at 10:30 a.m., ticketed (advance registration required, available online only; includes games, crafts, activities, food, and celebrations; its theme: “this year will be all about bravery and trying new things!,” hosted by the Pottstown Children’s Discovery Center and sponsored by the Pottstown Kiwanis Club; held at the Carousel at Pottstown, 30 W.   • “Countdown to Noon,” 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m., free admission (limited to members and their families, advance registration required); “a daytime celebration of the New Year, and a great day for kids of all ages;” includes a dance party, snacks, crafts, and more, with a ball drop ceremony at noon; held in the gymnasium of the Boyertown YMCA, 301 W.   • “New Year’s Eve Matinée with Parlor Noir,” 1-4 p.m. (doors open at noon), ticketed (non-refundable); “no need to go out at night, celebrate early and dance the afternoon away; cash bar available, free parking; held at The SunnyBrook Ballroom, 50 Sunnybrook Rd., Pottstown PA
  • “Cosmic Carnival New Year’s Eve,” starts at 5 p.m., ticketed (restricted to age 21 and older, advance registration online); featuring ballroom stage performances by Flux Capacitor, Lee Ross, Space Antelope and Brother Bear the Rapper, and EDM on the Tea Bar stage for dancing all night; also with dry goods and food vendors, live art, a champagne toast, and a midnight ball drop; hosted by Karnival of the Arts and Cosmic Arts Studios, held at Cosmic Art, 31 E.
