Enjoy Holiday Music at Schools Across Pottstown Area

Discover holiday music and all its many forms during December in the Pottstown, Pottsgrove, and Owen J. Roberts school districts. They represent 18 different opportunities, from Dec. 3 (Wednesday) through Dec. 18 (Thursday), to boost your winter cheer!

High, Middle, and Elementary School Concerts in Pottstown

POTTSTOWN PA – After diligent practice and rehearsing, student musicians in the Pottstown School District are ready to bring winter holiday cheer to their families, friends and neighbors.

Six concerts are scheduled overall. The events are free to attend and open to the public. On the district calendar are:

  • Dec. 3 (Wednesday), 7-8 p.m., Pottstown Middle School Holiday Concert at the school, 600 N. Franklin St.; and
  • Dec. 10 (Wednesday), 7-9 p.m., Pottstown High School Winter Chorus and Band Concert at the school, 750 N. Washington St.

Additional concert dates at Pottstown elementary schools were thoughtfully provided by Music K-12 Department Chair Katie German. All start at 6:30 p.m. in their respective locations. They are scheduled for:

  • Dec. 4 (Thursday), at Lincoln Elementary School, 461 N. York St.;
  • Dec. 8 (Monday), at Franklin Elementary School, 970 N. Franklin St.;
  • Dec. 9 (Tuesday), at Barth Elementary School, 467 W. Walnut St.; and
  • Dec. 15 (Monday), at Rupert Elementary School, 1230 South St.

Pottsgrove Schools Plan Five December Concerts

POTTSTOWN PA – Students from across the Pottsgrove School District have spent weeks preparing for a district tradition: its annual holiday concerts. Five are scheduled; they are free to attend and open to the public.

All will be held in the auditorium of Pottsgrove Middle School, 1351 N. Hanover St., Pottstown PA. On the district calendar are:

  • Dec. 4 (Thursday), 7-8 p.m., Pottsgrove High School Winter Concert;
  • Dec. 9 (Tuesday), 7-7:45 p.m., Lower Pottsgrove Chorus Concert;
  • Dec. 11 (Thursday), 7-8 p.m., Pottsgrove Middle School Band and Orchestra Winter Concert;
  • Dec. 15 (Monday), 7-8 p.m., Lower Pottsgrove Band and Orchestra Concert; and
  • Dec. 18 (Thursday), 7-8 p.m., Middle School Calendar Middle School Chorus Concert.

Separately, students in kindergarten, first, and second grade classes at Ringing Rocks Elementary School will enjoy their holiday sing-alongs on Dec. 19 (Friday), and at West Pottsgrove Elementary School on Dec. 22 (Monday).

Voices, Instruments in Harmony at Owen J. Roberts Schools

POTTSTOWN PA – A variety of winter chorus concerts, band concerts, and caroling events remain on the December calendar in the Owen J. Roberts School District.

Its list of free and open-to-the-public music performances includes:

  • Dec. 4 (Thursday) all from 7-9 p.m., winter chorus concerts at French Creek Elementary School, 3590 Coventryville Rd.; North Coventry Elementary School, 475 Kemp Rd.; and East Coventry Elementary School, 2461 E. Cedarville Rd.;
  • Dec. 8 (Monday), from 7-9 p.m., the High School Chorus Winter Concert at the school, 981 Ridge Rd.;
  • Dec. 10 (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m., the East Vincent Winter Chorus Concert at the school, 340 Ridge Rd., Spring City PA;
  • Dec. 11 (Thursday), from 7-9 p.m., the High School Band Winter Concert at the school, 981 Ridge Rd.; and
  • Dec. 17 (Wednesday), from 7-9 p.m., the Middle School Winter Choral Concert at the school, 881 Ridge Rd.

Additionally, the district’s Varsity Carolers will visit at and sing for all the elementary schools on Dec. 17-18, as a treat before the holiday break, the calendar also reports.
