A Sensory-Friendly Evening Scheduled

The fire company also has planned a Dec. 17 (Wednesday) “sensory friendly night” at the Carnival of Lights. Its staff has been specially trained to assist special needs guests, it says.
Additional staff members will be available during the evening. The show will be steadily lit except for a limited number of props, and music will be broadcast at a lower volume. Additionally, “quiet room” will be available for those wish to use it.
Also, A “One Day Early New Year’s Eve Celebration” is planned for Dec. 30 (Tuesday), complete with what the fire company says is “a huge fireworks display at closing time.” The early party allows families to see the sky show, and still enjoy plans made for Dec. 31 (Wednesday), according to the fire company.
