POTTSTOWN PA – An open reception for artists and the public, held Dec. 5 (Friday) from 5-7 p.m., launched the 2025 edition of the Pottstown Area Artists Guild Members’ Show.
Both the grand opening and show were conducted in the North Hall Gallery on the Pottstown campus of Montgomery County Community College, at 16 E. High St.
The guild was established in 1960, and this year marks its 65th anniversary. The members’ show is an annual, and highly anticipated, event.
It is open for free public viewing on weekdays only at the gallery through Jan. 23 (2026; Tuesday). Viewing hours are Mondays through Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The gallery schedule will be briefly interrupted when the college is closed, on Jan. 19.
Free parking, as well as parking designated for handicap use, are available.
For those unable to attend the show, pieces of the exhibit are available for online viewing.
During the reception, three of the show’s featured artists held talks about their works. The guild encourages public attendance to learn about the artists’ vision and inspiration, as well as get to know them personally.

Art Buying Opportunities
A majority of the exhibited art is being offered for sale and, according to the guild, those pieces “await” their new homes. The show presents buying opportunities for collectors, investors, and those who “just can’t do without” a piece.”
Artists do have the ability, however, to categorize works as “NFS,” or not for sale. NFS designations will be plainly visible on the art label.

Designated volunteers will be available at the reception to assist those interested in making one or more purchases. Cash, check or credit card will be accepted. The volunteer team will process the sale and add the sales tax. Each piece purchased will be marked as unavailable by a red dot.
For the remainder of the show, notify the receptionist in the gallery lobby of your interest in buying a piece, and provide its name and price. Members of the staff there will process the sale, and also mark it with a red dot.
For those unable to attend the show, pieces will be available for online viewing and purchases.

Keeping The Show Looking Its Best
Be aware, however, that you might not take your prize home immediately. “To keep the show looking top-notch,” it says, the guild is asking buyers to keep their purchased pieces hanging until after the show ends Jan. 23 at 4:30 p.m.
Time has been set aside on Jan. 26 (Monday) from 2-6 p.m. to pick up purchased art; or on a date, time, and place under arrangements between the artist and buyer.
If extenuating circumstances require taking the art immediately, they can be discussed with show Chair Sabah Farooq, available by e-mail at kimosabi1117@hotmail.com
Cast Your Vote for the People’s Choice
Throughout the show, those who attend can cast ballots and vote for two artworks as potential “People’s Choice Award” winners. Those votes will be tallied Jan. 26, when the award will be presented to the winning artist. An announcement about the winner will be released following the end of the show, the guild says.
