PA Lists Boyertown Attraction Among Best Halloween Choices for Families

October 7, 2025

BOYERTOWN PA – “Eleven Not-So-Spooky Haunts for Kids This Halloween” is a new compilation of family- and kid-friendly places to spend the 2025 ghostly holiday without fear. Created by the Harrisburg-based Pennsylvania Tourism Office, the list released Sept. 30 (Tuesday) includes a popular tourist spot in Boyertown.

“For some, Halloween is all about experiencing the scare of a lifetime,” the office wrote, “but we know our littlest travelers want the fun of fall without the fright.” With its 11 picks, according to the state tourism promoter, “kids (and kids-at-heart) can take in the season with some not-so scary thrills.”

The list claims to include everything “from spooky-themed amusement parks to pumpkin picking.” Its top three selections? “Hallo-Fun Weekends” at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg PA, “The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular” at Sesame Place in Langhorne PA, and “Hersheypark Halloween” at Hershey’s Chocolate World in Hershey PA, respectively.

The Number 4 Choice is Well-Known Here

Landing in the Number 4 spot is The Colebrookdale Railroad, 64 S. Washington St., Boyertown.

“Ride the Colebrookdale Railroad and soak in the vibrant colors of fall,” the tourism office advises. “For the best view take the two-hour, round-trip journey on one of the Autumn Splendor Fall Foliage experiences, happening on select dates this season,” it adds. “This historic train ride for kids has plenty of family-friendly excursions the whole family will enjoy!”
