NORTH COVENTRY PA – A new AutoZone store will occupy the former Rite Aid structure at Town Square Plaza, 1140 Town Square Rd., in North Coventry Township, company signage indicates.

A large poster in the building’s window announces the store is “coming soon,” and also suggests job openings are available. Contractors could be seen working last weekend (Aug. 9-10) within and outside the building.

AutoZone careers webpages additionally show the company is looking to hire a manager trainee, commercial sales manager, full- and part-time shift supervisors, a senior retail sales associate, a part-time retail sales associate, and full- and part-time delivery drivers for Town Square Plaza.

AutoZone, a retailer and distributor of auto replacement parts and accessories, said in a May 27 (2025) third-quarter statement that its 12-week net sales increased 5.4% over 2024. The company also opened 54 new stores in the U.S. alone during the quarter ending May 10, it added.

Across Montgomery, Berks, and Chester counties, AutoZone currently operates at locations in Pottstown, Royersford, Douglassville, Collegeville, Phoenixville, East Greenville, Norristown, King of Prussia, Reading, and Exton.

POTTSTOWN PA – Spirit Halloween, a New Jersey-based company that claims to be “the largest Halloween retailer in North America,” began August 2025 by popping up stores in Montgomery, Berks, and Chester counties, and elsewhere.

Halloween-related spending nationwide during 2024, according to the National Retail Federation, amounted to more than $12 billion in annual sales.

A significant number of buyers got an early jump, too. Some marketing data indicates roughly 30% of U.S. consumers start their Halloween shopping in September.

The company website shows seasonal stores are now operating, or are expected to open soon, in Pottstown, Royersford, Exton, Reading, and Wyomissing. They’ll join what is estimated to be another 1,400 or more Spirit Halloween stores across the country.
