Collegeville Plans Sept. 6 for 'Colossal Sale' Bargains

Collegeville Plans Sept. 6 for ‘Colossal Sale’ Bargains

August 10, 2025

TRAPPE PA – Clear out your storage closet, and prepare to refill it with new finds. The Collegeville Economic Development Corp. (CEDC) has set Sept. 6 (2025; Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. as the date for its annual Colossal Yard Sale at Waterworks Park, 220 W. 1st Ave.

The outdoor market expects to attract about 80 sellers of used and new goods. Prospective vendors, and those who have participated in previous sales, are already securing spaces, the CEDC reports.

A 10-foot space costs $40. Sellers must bring their own tables. Vendor payments for spaces will be collected the morning of the sale. Reserve a space by sending an e-mail to manager@collegevilledevelopment.org with your e-mail address, cell phone number, and number of spaces wanted.

Within the bounds of good taste, pretty much anything used or new can be offered for purchase. It’s just like a yard sale at a home or in a neighborhood, the CEDC adds … but with far more people milling about.

For those who get hungry during the day, a food truck from Mallie’s Burgers will serve freshly made breakfast sandwiches, lunch items, and beverages for purchase.

Positioned on the park grounds as well will be a truck from Goodwill Industries. It’s available for vendors who are willing to donates items that didn’t sell. Additionally, area residents are welcome to bring items from home to donate.

Sale proceeds benefit the CEDC, a non-profit “that works to promote businesses in the Collegeville area, and organizes events for area families throughout the year,” its website states.

For more information about the Colossal Yard Sale, send an e-mail to manager@collegevilledevelopment.org, or call 610-409-0370. If needed (and during some past years, it has been) CEDC designated Sept. 13 (Saturday) as an alternative rain date.
