ALLENTOWN PA – Three Berks County businesses and four in Montgomery County, which hold liquor or related licenses issued by Pennsylvania, were cited during July 2025 for alleged law violations by the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement. A bureau report released Friday (Aug. 1) lists the citations.

Pennsylvania State Police troopers are assigned to the bureau’s Allentown-based District 9 office for enforcement of liquor laws and related provisions. Acting District Office Commander Brian C. Fetterolf says they cover more than 3,700 licensees in the district comprised of Montgomery, Berks, Lehigh, Bucks, Northampton, and Schuylkill counties.
Cited in Berks County were Ridgewood Winery LLC, Bechtelsville PA; Navarrete Services LLC, trading as Xoloitzcuintle Restaurant, Reading PA; and Metacomet Home Association, Reading PA.
Also cited, in Montgomery County, were The Fort 325 LLC, trading as The Fort Kitchen and Bar, Fort Washington PA; Xo Bar LLC, Elkins Park PA; The Jarrettown LLC, Dresher PA; and Cobble Court Restaurant Investors LLC, trading as Cobble Court, Bryn Mawr PA.
Citations were additionally issued to three establishments in Bucks County, five in Lehigh County, three in Northampton, and on in Schuylkill County.
Complaints, Violation Letters, Warnings Filed
During the month the Allentown office said it received 71 complaints, issued 23 violation letters, and 29 violation warning letters. No criminal arrests were made during the month, the report added. The office also says there were no citations for under-age alcohol possession or consumption, or fake identification.
In the report, Fetterolf wrote that all charges will be brought before an administrative law judge. The report did not indicate when the judge will review the charges, or what if any penalties might be imposed.
The judge has the authority “to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses, and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses,” the report indicates. The judge also can impose a license suspension or revocation if the severity of charges warrant. Additionally, the judge also can require training to educate licensees on meeting state requirements.
