Modified, Sportsman Race Action Saturday at Grandview

July 4, 2025

BECHTELSVILLE PA. – T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman will run an Independence Weekend double-header racing program Saturday (July 5, 2025) beginning 7:30 p.m. at Grandview Speedway, 43 Passmore Rd.

The show, run under the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, is sponsored by T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment of Limerick. It includes qualifying events for both classes, leading into a 30-lap Modified feature, and a 25-lap feature for the Truck Equipment Sportsman.

So far this year there has not been a repeat winner in the T.P. Trailer Modified division, with Brian Hirthler, Brett Kressley, Chris Esposito, Jeff Strunk, John Willman, and Duane Howard all reaching victory lane. All six will lead the field into action on Saturday night.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division has had two repeat winners this year, as Jesse Landis and Addison Meitzler. Both scored two wins each, along with one time winners Colin Cox and Lawson Szerencits.

Grandstand gates open at 5:30 p.m. Warm-ups start at 6:15 p.m., and the first race of the evening gets the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Adult grandstand admission costs $20; students ages 10-15 with proper identification cost $10, and children ages 9 and younger are admitted free. Pit gates open at 4 p.m., and pit admission costs $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The weekly “Low Down and Dirty” meet and greet, hosted by Brittany Huber, is set before Saturday’s program starts. Drivers scheduled to participate include the father-and-son duo of Kenny and Brett Gilmore. It’s held in the main gate area, starting at 5 p.m., for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect autographs, take photos, and talk about racing.

Coming Next to the Track

Next Saturday (July 12), MacMillian Oil Company of Allentown Night, the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be in the spotlight during the 55th annual running of the Firecracker 40-lap Championship race. The program also includes the T.P. Trailer Modifieds starting at 7:30 p.m.

The following week’s (July 19) racing is sponsored by A.D. Moyer Lumber Company. It’s “Back to the ’90s Night,” with grandstand admission rolled back to $10 to reflect the track’s 1990s pricing. On the race card will be a two-division show of T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear their ’90s era T-shirts to the track.

Grandview Speedway successfully completed its June 28 race program, but lost the June 24 Thunder on the Hill special, a 410 Sprint and 358 Modified double header. Drivers continue to chase track and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series points.
