Best Route Mobile Market Pops Up Wednesdays at TRAAC

May 29, 2025

POTTSTOWN PA – The Best Route Mobile Farmers Market, “a farmers’ market on wheels” co-founded by Pottstown and Coatesville residents, will begin offering its fruits, vegetables, and local goods for sale weekly beginning June 4 (2025) at the TriCounty Active Adult Center, 288 Moser Rd.

Best Route Mobile Market to Pop Up Wednesdays at TRAAC

It currently plans to “pop up” in the center parking lot Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. through August.

The center, in a post on its Facebook page, says “The Best Route is all about bringing fresh, local food” right to its customers. TRAAC described The Best Route as “a food access organization committed to making healthy, seasonal produce available in every neighborhood.”

TRAAC reports the produce is locally sourced, supports area farmers, and helps build a stronger, healthier community.

The Best Route accepts “all major forms of payment,” including Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program electronic benefit transfers and Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) checks, “so everyone can shop with ease.”

Local Route for The Best Route

For the benefit of shoppers who may be unable to attend Wednesdays, TRACC notes The Best Route also can be found:

  • Thursdays from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the YWCA Complex, 724 N. Adams St.;
  • Fridays at varying times and locations on the local “FMNP Circuit;”
  • Saturdays (May 31, June 28, July 12 and 26, and Aug. 9 and 23) from 9 a.m. to noon at Pottstown FARM and artisan market, 100 E. High St.; and
  • Saturdays (June 7 and 21, July 19, and Aug. 2, 16, and 30) from 9 a.m. to noon at the Rolling Hills Apartments, 2120 Buchert Rd.

The Best Route during May was awarded a $79,050 grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture under the state’s Fresh Food Financing Initiative. It reportedly will use the money to expand its services with a mobile kitchen equipped to serve fresh, ready-made meals.

Also named as winners in the same round of grant funding were Zaviah Farms in Mohnton PA (Berks County) and Down To Earth Harvest in Downingtown (Chester County).
