POTTSTOWN PA – Only “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!” can describe the excitement that begins this week at Steel River Playhouse, 245 E. High St.
The theater will present “Disney & Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical” in 10 performances scheduled from Friday (May 23, 2025) through June 8 (Sunday).

“Don’t miss the chance to plug into the magic, and enjoy an evening that will light up your imagination and send your spirits soaring!,” the playhouse suggests.
About the Musical
Bert, a jack-of-all trades, introduces the audience “to England in 1910, and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again.”
“Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that ‘anything can happen if you let it.’ “
“Through her unconventional methods and whimsical adventures, Mary Poppins challenges traditional norms, and brings attention to the importance of imagination, compassion, and individuality. She highlights how those who embrace their uniqueness can transform the lives of others.”
