April 18, 2025

LOWER POTTSGROVE PA – Vehicle owners whose license plates are faded, peeling, or otherwise illegible can apply during May to have them replaced.

State 24th District Sen. Tracy Pennycuick will hold a free license plate replacement event May 29 (2025; Thursday) from 4-6 p.m. in Gerald Richards Park, 2150 Buchert Rd. Lending their assistance will be members of the Lower Pottsgrove Police Department.

Police officers will be available to inspect plates to ensure they qualify to be replaced. If eligible, they can help vehicle owners start the replacement process.

“License plates that are hard to read can result in traffic stops and citations,” Pennycuick explains. “This event provides a simple way for residents to stay in compliance with state law at no cost.”

Advance registration is required, and is available online. For more information, call Pennycuick’s district office at 215-541-2388.
