HARLEYSVILLE PA – Registration is now available online for all six free household hazardous waste collection events planned by Montgomery County during 2025.

The collections are for households only. “Businesses and contractors will be turned away,” the county reports. It also says no televisions, electronics, or latex paints will be accepted.
The first is scheduled for April 26 (Saturday) by reserved appointment only between 8:30 a.m. and 1:20 p.m. at Indian Valley Middle School, 130 Maple Ave., Harleysville.
Residents interested in making an appointment there should act quickly. About half of the morning appointment slots in Harleysville are already filled, a county webpage shows. Use this online link for the Harleysville date.
Other Dates, Haz Waste Sites Through Oct. 12
Other dates and sites, accompanied by their scheduling links, are planned for:

- On June 7 (Saturday), Temple University’s Ambler Campus, with entry at 1431 East Butler Pk., Ambler;
- June 21 (Saturday), Norristown Area High School, 1900 Eagle Dr., Norristown;
- June 28 (Saturday), Abington Middle School, with entry at 2056 Susquehanna Rd., Abington;
- Sept. 20 (Saturday), Spring-Ford 9th Grade Center, 400 South Lewis Rd., Royersford; and
- Oct. 12 (Sunday), Lower Merion Transfer Station, 1300 North Woodbine Ave., Penn Valley.
Montgomery County offers guidelines for how materials can be packaged and delivered for drop-off at collection events. It also provides details on what to expect at the drop-off site, what hazardous household waste items will be accepted, and tips for safely transporting chemicals.

Twenty Other Sites in Nearby Counties, Also Free
Twenty additional household hazardous waste collections are scheduled between April 5 and Nov. 1 for locations in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia counties. See the online list of available sites in those counties.
They also are free, require appointments, and can be attended by Montgomery County residents. Those interested must schedule with appointment links available on the respective county websites.
