'Antique & Collector Fair’ Plans Mid-March Show in Oaks

‘Antique & Collector Fair’ Plans Mid-March Show in Oaks

March 3, 2025

OAKS PA – A new owner, a new name, and a new partnership with a local museum all herald the birth of the new “Antique & Collector Fair,” scheduled to be held during mid-March in Oaks.

The Antique & Collector Fair, formerly known as “Antiques at Kimberton,” was purchased by antique collector and dealer Jerry Frey, its Facebook page announced in mid-January. The Kimberton show began during the late 1960s under Adamstown PA-based Shupp’s Grove Antique Market, and for more than 50 years was held at the Kimberton Fire Hall.

It moved to Oaks in recent years, the fair website indicates, because “the new venue proved more easily accessible from Main Line and Philadelphia communities.” Additionally, it provided “abundant free parking” with partnering hotels nearby.

Frey reports the fair’s 2025 spring and fall shows will now both be staged at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave.

Fair’s Spring Show Set for March 14-15

The fair promotes itself as “a new take on old treasures.” Its two-day spring show is planned for March 14 (2025; Friday) from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and March 15 (Saturday) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the expo center’s Hall D. Parking remains free.

Admission costs $10 for adults and $8 for children ages 6-12, with tickets available at the door. Children age 5 and younger will be admitted free.

Many former vendors from the original Antiques at Kimberton will have booths at the spring show. So, too, will “at least 20 new vendors,” the fair says in a media release. For more information, call 610-983-3535, or send an e-mail to info@AC-Fair.com.

The show features “quality dealers specializing” in “fine antiques, vintage treasures, primitives, antique glass, antique furniture, antique rugs, antique toys, vintage holiday decor, estate jewelry, vintage textiles and wearables, rare books, art glass, historical china, primitive and country sundries, art deco, mid-century modern, and pop culture artifacts,” it adds.

Frey, according to the release, has taken a personal role in reviewing vendor applications “to ensure that only authentic antiques and beautifully staged booths are included.”

About the Partnership

Along with its ownership and name change, the fair has partnered with the American Treasure Tour Museum, also located in Oaks at 1 American Treasure Way. The museum’s “millions of artifacts and memorabilia” will be highlighted in part “to inspire (its) fans” to become avid collectors of items they treasure, the release says.

The museum is said to house “one of the world’s largest collections of automated music machines, classic cars, animatronics, holiday displays,” and other exhibits.

“We get a lot of inquiries from customers wishing to purchase items from the collection,” museum Manager Ashley Galleo acknowledges, “but none of our exhibit is for sale.” The museum’s tour, however, is likely to prompt visitors’ thinking about items they loved in their youth, and may want to assemble again for personal pleasure.

That thrill of collecting could be satisfied by the spring fair, which its website says will occupy more than 20,000 square feet of space, and attract more than 65 dealers.

The fair’s fall show is scheduled for Oct. 17-18, again at the expo center.
