Planning’s Begun for GoFourth! Fest, Only 5 Months Away
Attractions that made the GoFourth! Festival such a success in 2024 will be at Memorial Park on July 4, 2025

Planning’s Begun for GoFourth! Festival, Only 5 Months Off

February 9, 2025

POTTSTOWN PA – Re-opening of the pedestrian bridge to Veteran’s Island will prompt the 2025 edition of Pottstown’s GoFourth! Festival to return to Memorial Park on West King Street, organizers say.

The non-profit Pottstown GoFourth! Inc. is entering its eighth year in presenting the festival, filled with Independence Day fun and activities, on July 4 (Friday). It says the decision to move all events and entertainments to the borough’s major park is due in part to the added entrance accessibility the bridge creates for the public.

The festival will follow the Pottstown Rotary Club-sponsored annual parade on East High Street, scheduled to start at 10:15 a.m.

Festival hours are set for 3-9:30 p.m. Its attractions include inflatables and games for kids, bubble-making fun with Grandpop Bubbles, complimentary professional face painting, live entertainment during the afternoon and evening, and handmade goods from a variety of arts and crafts vendors.

Because everyone gets hungry having a good time, several food trucks have signed up to serve a variety of edibles. Additionally, Pottstown-based Sly Fox Brewing Company will operate a beer garden on the grounds to satisfy adult thirsts.

Covering Costs a Community Effort

As in the past the festival will end at 9:30 p.m. with what has become known as one of the area’s largest fireworks displays, sponsored by Precision Polymer Products Inc. It’s being joined by Wolf Baldwin & Associates as an early top-level sponsor; the law firm is the festival’s Silver/Volunteer Shirt Sponsor.

The Pottstown GoFourth! Festival is made possible through community support, sponsorships, and donations. As the event continues to grow, organizers explain, so do the costs of ensuring safety and security for all who attend. This year, Pottstown GoFourth! Inc. will again collect funds for both the festival and the parade. Volunteer assistance is needed too.
