Firm to Provide Blasting, Drilling in Perkiomenville
PERKIOMENVILLE PA – Drilling and blasting services provided by a Lancaster County-based company are scheduled to start Thursday (Jan. 16, 2025) on Gravel Pike in Perkiomenville, according to a Jan. 6 legal notice.
Trinity Drilling & Blasting of Bowmansville PA has been retained by Brubacher Excavating to excavate rock for new home development known as the Melbourne Hill project in Lower Frederick Township, of which Perkiomenville is a part. Melbourne Hill, the township website reports, will consist of residential lots on 41.6 acres of land at 1310 Gravel Pike.
After their start, drilling and blasting activities in Lower Frederick are expected to “continue on and off as weather conditions and job conditions allow into the following weeks.” The work is anticipated to occur on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. It is considered necessary for “trench and bulk rock removal for the proposed subdivision’s infrastructure,” the notice says.
Trinity “has the necessary federal and state permits to conduct blasting operations,” the notice states. “Blasting will be seismically monitored to confirm the blast-induced vibrations are within regulatory limits” and incapable of having an “adverse effect on any neighboring structures,” it adds.
