In Business: Enter a Contest for Signage; PA Accepting Sigue Case Claims

January 3, 2025

In this edition of local business news, the Signarama Limerick franchise is promoting a free signage contest it hopes will interest area companies. Separately, if you relied on the Sigue Corporation for a money transmission that was never completed, you may qualify for a claim payment.

Signarama Limerick Part of National New Year Sign Contest

LIMERICK PA – The Signarama Limerick signage franchise at 70 Buckwalter Rd. Ste. 407 reports in a Friday (Jan. 3, 2025) e-mail that it’s participating in a national contest that will award free business signage packages, valued at $5,000, to two winners. The Limerick shop is encouraging local companies to enter before the opportunity closes on Jan. 31 (Friday).

There’s no cost involved, Signarama adds. Business owners can go online to choose the industry with which they’re associated, then select a signage package that best suits their needs. Finally, it asks for information about the business and how new signage would benefit it.

Responses are submitted with the click of a button. Agreeing to competition terms and conditions, which likely are worth reading, are required with the submittal.

Do You Qualify for Payment in Money Transmission Case?

HARRISBURG PA – If you’re a consumer who had problems with money orders or cash transmissions involving Sigue Corporation, the Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities may be able to offer help. You may also qualify for a claim payment.

In Business: PA Accepting Sigue Case Claims; Enter a Contest for Signage

Sigue during March 2024 was ordered by financial regulatory agencies in Pennsylvania and 37 other states to stop doing business. In PA, the corporation was found to have violated its Money Transmitter Act. Cash sent by many users through Sigue, or who expected to receive it from Sigue, allegedly never arrived.

Sigue is now out of business, and the department has tapped into the corporation’s surety bond. That gives the state resources to pay on claims filed against the firm, it announced Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2025). Those affected, however, must file a claim online, here. For more information on filing a claims, call 1-800-722-2657.
