Grandview Ready for 2025 with Renewed Track, Schedule

Grandview Ready for 2025 with Renewed Track, Schedule

December 22, 2024

BECHTELSVILLE PA – Track renewal work at Grandview Speedway, 43 Passmore Rd., is already completed, well ahead of winter weather. New racetrack rules and guidelines for owners and drivers are set, and were announced Friday (Dec. 20, 2024).

Now Grandview’s owners and operators, the founding Rogers family, says it’s looking forward to the spring start of its 2025 racing season.

The opening of Grandview’s 63rd season of professional stock car racing launches April 5 (2025; Saturday), with the 8th annual Bruce Rogers Memorial Money Maker. The high-profile race for Modifieds joined by the 602 Sportsman honors late track owner and promoter Rogers, who passed away in 2017.

It will be preceded the annual crowd-pleasing open practice session on March 29 (2025; Saturday). The event starts at noon, and givers racers an opportunity to test their cars before the season’s official start. It also offers fans a chance, with free grandstand admission, to see new race equipment and some popular drivers.

Grandview reports its crew workers have been busy preparing the Speedway and its facilities for the coming season. Part of that work includes the addition of “truckloads of fresh clay” onto its one-third-mile, high-banked oval track, it says.

Beyond the track, some modified race teams are having engines sealed before the season. Track officials also reminded race teams that 602 engines in the Sportsman division may be rebuilt under available supervision within the state. Friday’s announcement on rules and guidelines was made in collaboration with Big Diamond Speedway in Forestville PA and its promoter and operator, Jake Smulley.

What’s Ahead on the 2025 Schedule

Saturday night racing schedules for the 2025 season look similar to past years, with two division Modified and Sportsman shows making up the racing program each week. A third division may occasionally be added to the line-up.

Three “Thunder on the Hill” Racing Series dates are set, with the

  • High Limit 410 Sprint Racing Series on May 20 (Tuesday; rain date May 21);
  • USAC National Sprint Car Series Eastern Storm arriving June 17 (Tuesday) for the Jesse Hockett Classic; followed by the
  • Pennsylvania 410 Sprint Car SpeedWeek Series race on July 1 (Tuesday), featuring the $10,000 Hodnett Cup.

Grandview’s summer schedule sees the:

  • Traditional 55th annual Firecracker 40 for the Sportsman on July 12 (Saturday; rain date July 19);
  • 55th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial 50 for the Modifieds on August 9 (Saturday; rain date August 16);
  • 12th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship staged on Sept. 19 (Friday); and the
  • 55th annual Freedom 76 Modified Championship on Sept. 20 (Saturday; rain date Sept. 27).

Tickets Available in Advance

Season passes can be ordered by sending a check or money order to Grandview Speedway, 87 Wilt Rd., Bechtelsville PA 19505. When ordering, be sure to indicate the name of the pass holder. To speed the delivery process, also include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
