POTTSTOWN PA – Fit Life Fitness, located inside The Shoppes at Coventry at 351 W. Schuylkill Rd., will host a family-friendly fund-raiser Sunday (Dec. 1, 2024) from 5:30-7:30 p.m. to benefit the King’s Travel Baseball Team 13U. Fit Life hopes to help the team offset costs of travel next year to a Florida tournament.
The fitness club will host a free admission “Winter Wonderland Family Fun Night.” It includes ticketed photos with “Santa Fritz,” raffle tables with a variety of prizes, and activity stations for kids to create midnight snacks for Santa, food for his reindeer, and holiday ornaments and decorations.
The team practices in Collegeville, got its start with indoor play last winter, and made its tournament debut in Hershey PA. Its members include residents of Pottstown, Boyertown, Royersford, and nearby municipalities.
With assistance from the club and the public, the team is scheduled to participate during 2025 in a week-long baseball tournament at the Cal Ripken Disney Experience at Walt Disney World® Resort. The event combines competitive play with family entertainment. It includes opening day ceremonies, a minimum of six games, skills competitions, and other activities.
Fit Life Fitness is a fully operational gym and physical fitness center, open 24 hours daily, which also offers 12 recently installed indoor pickleball courts. This month it additionally introduced new batting cages and a pitching mound.
