BOYERTOWN PA – If you own and drive a small tractor or lawn mower, and want to put it to some worthwhile post-season use, consider participating in this weekend’s Toy Tractor Run in Boyertown.
Tractor enthusiasts are welcome to join the fun by decorating their machines with festive lights, and lining them up Saturday (Nov. 16, 2024) in the parking lot of the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, 85 S. Walnut St. That’s also where members of the public are being encouraged to bring and donate unwrapped toys. A hay wagon will be on hand to collect the gifts.
Then, at 3 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive at the lot, which also serves as the starting point for a festive parade of the tractors. They will help deliver the collected toys to Boyertown Area Multi-Service, 200 Spring St. The non-profit Multi-Service will ensure the toys are distributed to local families in need, making their holidays brighter.
Those who are unable to attend Saturday can donate toys in advance. They’re invited to use either of three drop-off points:
- Peppermint Stick Candy Store, 26 E. Philadelphia Ave.,
- Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, 85 S. Walnut St., or
- Boyertown Area Community Library, 24 N Reading Ave.
The event, sponsored by Just Farm Kids, is intended to bring together classic tractors, Santa Claus, and the spirit of giving.
