POTTSTOWN PA – “Thanks to a donation of school supplies from Beth Israel Congregation of Chester County,” students attending Franklin Elementary School “will start the year well prepared … for success in the classroom,” the Pottstown School District reported Tuesday (Sept. 17, 2024).
The school tools that young learners often need to start their next year of education – boxes of crayons, soft tissues to comfort sore noses, big backpacks, and more – were gifts from the congregation for a fourth consecutive year. Beth Israel is located in Chester Springs, about 17 miles southeast of the borough.
“The supplies will assist students both in school and at home,” the district noted.
“Donations like this, that help develop community school partnerships, are role models for our students to understand the importance of helping others,” school Principal Beth Kramer said. “We are extremely appreciative of the kindness and generosity shared with our students.”
