DOUGLASSVILLE PA – Historic Brinton Lodge, a fixture on the eastern Berks County landscape for more than three centuries, will again provide guided “ghost” tours this fall.
The lodge tours, and their tales of supernatural and paranormal activity, have attracted scores of visitors over the years. The building opened to the public in 2013. This year’s tours will be presented weekly during September, October and early November, according to a media release.
The events can be described as “unforgettable and spine-tingling” adventures, it adds. “Ghost” and other not-easily-explained sightings have been documented there since the 1970s, the lodge website indicates.
The stucco mansion, which management says is known for “its mysterious atmosphere and eerie allure,” is located at 1808 Schuylkill Rd., Douglassville. The site sits across from the Schuylkill River, on state Route 724 between Reading and Pottstown.
Its 90-minute, occasionally candle-lit tours cost $24 per person. All start at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are available now online. They are being offered:
- Saturdays in September;
- Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in October; and
- One Saturday and Sunday each in November.
