KING OF PRUSSIA – Three free concerts featuring four different performers remain on the Summer 2024 Carillon Concert schedule at Washington Memorial Chapel.

All performances are open to the public with no admission charge, and are on the calendar for consecutive Wednesdays. Each starts at 7:30 p.m., rain or shine, outside the carillon tower on the chapel grounds, 2000 Valley Forge Road, in Valley Forge National Park, King of Prussia PA. Bring an umbrella or protective covering if appropriate, the chapel suggests.

Scheduled to perform are:

  • Aug. 14, Chapel Carillonneur Doug Gefvert, with the Irish Thunder Pipes and Drums of Swedesburg PA, presenting “Music of the British Isles;”
  • Aug. 21, Chapel Carillonneur Doug Gefvert; and
  • Aug. 28, Chi Ian “Jess” Ip, of Cambridge MA.

The chapel’s annual Frank P. Law summer concert series is family-friendly and suitable for all ages. Audience visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair for personal seating; few if any chairs are available. Those who care to enjoy a picnic while listening are encouraged to bring a dinner or snacks.

The chapel’s Cabin Shop also will be open to offer refreshments for purchase.
