Legally Blonde Musical Arrives This Week at Steel River

‘Legally Blonde’ Musical Ends Sunday at Steel River

July 24, 2024

POTTSTOWN PA – Lighting up the legal world with unstoppable charm and brilliance, “Legally Blonde: The Musical” officially debuts Friday (July 26) at 7 p.m. in Steel River Playhouse, 245 E. High St. The show runs through Aug. 4 (Sunday).

Legally Blonde Musical Arrives This Week at Steel River

“Follow Elle Woods on her journey from pink-clad sorority girl to courtroom queen,” the playhouse happily claims. Catchy tunes and a vibrant cast are primary components in the award-winning musical, based on the 2001 movie.

Its story: “Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school.”

“While there she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world. “Legally Blonde: The Musical” follows the transformation of Woods as she tackles stereotypes and scandal in pursuit of her dreams.”

“Legally Blonde: The Musical” is sponsored by Wolf, Baldwin & Associates P.C., and is produced in partnership with Legal Aid of Southeastern PA.

The production will run from July 25 to Aug. 4, with Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night performances (July 25-27, and Aug. 2) at 7 p.m., Sunday matinées (July 28 and Aug. 4) at 2 p.m., and a Saturday (Aug. 3) relaxed performance matinée at noon.

The relaxed performance matinée is intended for enjoyment by individuals with ADD, ADHD, dementia, autism, sensory sensitivities, or any patron who would enjoy a performance where they can freely express themselves.

Advance sale tickets available now

Advance sale tickets and seating choices for Legally Blonde: The Musical are available now online, or by calling the theater box office at 610-970-1199. Seating may be limited. Regularly priced tickets cost $29 for adults, $24 for those age 65 and older, and $17 for students.

However, a Thursday-only (July 25, 2024) “pay what you want” preview performance of Legally Blonde: The Musical allows patrons to buy tickets at the price they choose. It offers theater-goers a first look at the quality of Steel River’s new season, at an unheard-of bargain.

In addition to Legally Blonde: The Musical, the Steel River season is scheduled to include “Peter & The Starcatcher -Teen Intensive,” “RENT,” “Annie,” “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Barefoot in the Park,” a spring play to be announced during October, and “Disney & Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins: The Broadway Musical.”
