Jethro Tull ‘Brief History’ Shows July 20 in Sellersville

SELLERSVILLE PA – A limited number of tickets remain for July 20 (2024; Saturday) performances of former Jethro Tull guitarist Martin Barre, and the Martin Barre Band. They are scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively in the Sellersville Theater, 24 W. Temple Ave. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

Tickets are available online, with prices ranging from $55 to $89.50. Live-streaming services for the show also are available.

Jethro Tull ‘Brief History’ Shows July 20 in Sellersville

“Barre celebrates the musical journey of Jethro Tull throughout the decades at his new show, “A Brief History of Tull,” according to the theater’s promotional material. “The show will feature a special visual presentation that, together with the music, highlights the 50 years of Jethro Tull’s musical career.”

“Classic Tull hits played throughout the interactive performance include songs from legendary albums such as Thick As A Brick, Aqualung, Stand Up, Songs From The Wood, A Passion Play, Heavy Horses, and others,” it added.

Concerts scheduled through July 31

The full live performances schedule at Sellersville Theater, for the period of July 19 (Friday) through July 31 (Wednesday) currently includes:

  • July 19 at 8 p.m., Jim Messina;
  • July 20 at 3 p.m., Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre Performs A Brief History Of Tull;
  • July 20 at 8 p.m., Jethro Tull’s Martin Barre Performs A Brief History Of Tull;
  • July 21 at 7:30 p.m., Toronzo Cannon;
  • July 23 at 8 p.m., Steve Earle and the Alone Again Tour;
  • July 24 at 8 p.m., Tartan Terrors;
  • July 25 at 8 p.m., King’s X;
  • July 26 at 8 p.m., King’s X;
  • July 27 at 8 p.m., Cimarron 615, featuring Jack Sundrud, Michael Webb, Rick Lonow; and Ronnie Guibeau from POCO with special guest Craig Bickhardt;
  • July 28 at 7:30 p.m., WXPN Welcomes Rhett Miller (of Old 97’s);
  • July 30 at 8 p.m., Sugaray Rayford;
  • July 31 at 11 a.m., Comedy Magic Show with Abby London; and
  • July 31 at 8 p.m., Ladysmith Black Mambazo.

The Sellersville Theater is located 25 miles northeast of Pottstown.

The theater describes itself as “an intimate live music and comedy venue with 325 seats, featuring national and international performers … It boasts an impressive live show schedule of five or more shows per week.” It also is available to rent for weddings, presentations, meetings, and special events.
