KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Someone on Friday (May 17, 2024) turned in a lost wallet at the Valley Forge Casino Resort. The good citizen likely thought they were doing its owner a favor. On the other hand the owner, said to be a Pottstown area woman, may wish the wallet had never been found.
Pennsylvania State Police were working at the casino, 1160 First Ave., as part of the state Bureau of Gaming Enforcement. They reported the “unattended wallet was found on a slot machine.” The finder, troopers said, turned it “into the (casino’s) security podium as a lost and found item.” Security personnel, in turn, delivered the wallet to the state police office.
Once there, troopers began to take “an inventory of the wallet” in part to list its contents, and also to identify its owner. Of all the goods within it, the troopers’ report identified only one: “a small plastic baggie.”
They said it contained “a white crystallized substance suspected to be crystal methamphetamine.” The woman was arrested on charges of drug possession, troopers added.
Criminal charges have been filed at Montgomery County District Court 38-1-25 in Bridgeport PA, according to the report.
