Double Modified Features Saturday at Grandview Speedway

May 14, 2024

BECHTELSVILLE PA – Twice the auto racing action is expected Saturday (May 18, 2024) at Grandview Speedway, 43 Passmore Rd., with the presentation of not one but two T.P. Trailer 30-lap Modified features.

It’s because the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series racing program at Grandview came to an abrupt end last week (May 11). Rain arrived just as the T.P. Trailer Modified feature was on the track. That contest had to be canceled, and has been re-scheduled for Saturday night along with the already planned regular attraction.

Saturday’s program will be the traditional double-header for the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman. It will include all qualifying events for both divisions, leading into a 30-lap modified main event and a 25-lap sportsman feature race.

To those the track will also add the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature held over from May 11. It will be the first modified event during the program. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they witness all races.

Regular admission prices still apply, with adult grandstand admission at $20, students age 10-15 with ID are $10, and children ages 9 and younger are free. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 p.m., and grandstand gates at 4:30 p.m. Warm-ups star at 5:30 p.m., and the first race of the evening gets the green flag at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday’s program also includes the second monthly fan participation trivia night, involving questions about Grandview Speedway racing. Fans will be able to win some prizes, race tickets for future programs, or gift cards.

Before the program, fans can join the “Low Down and Dirty” meet-and-greet hosted by Whippy and Jennifer Umbenhauer. Scheduled to participate are Modified driver and defending Champion Brett Kressley, along with Sportsman driver Gavyn Krupp. The event is held in the main gate area from 4-5 p.m. to meet the drivers, collect autographs, take photos, and talk racing.

Ahead later in May

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature that was also rained out May 11 will be added to the May 25 (Saturday) race event. On the schedule as well is a new two-division program of T.P. Trailer Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, plus the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

The final race for May is the first Thunder on the Hill Racing Series program of the year. Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the RichMar Florist Midweek Money Series Kubota High Limit Racing 410 Sprint Cars on May 28 (Tuesday) at 7:30 p.m., with a rain date of May 29.

The program will feature the PA Posse drivers vs. Kyle Larson and The High Rollers participating in time trials and qualifying races, leading into the 35-lap feature race worth $20,000 to win.

Adult grandstand tickets are $40, children ages 6-11 are $20, and age 5 and younger are free. Pit admission is $45, and no license is required. Advanced grandstand tickets for this event are available online.
