Genealogy Club Moves Thursday to Upper Perk Library

Genealogy Club Moves Thursday to Upper Perk Library

April 16, 2024

PENNSBURG PA – The Genealogy Club that previously met monthly at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center is on the move.

The Genealogy Club’s next meeting will be held in a new location beginning Thursday (April 18, 2024). It’s planned for 6:30 p.m. in the Upper Perkiomen Valley Library, 350 Main St., Red Hill PA. Subsequent meetings, also scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month, will be held there too, the heritage center reported.

At all meetings, club members learn about new resources, group members share their own work, and participants help each other surmount research roadblocks.

For more information, send an e-mail to info@schwenkfelder.org, or call 215-679-3103.

The heritage center continues to offers many resources for local genealogists, it said, from family trees to deeds and church records. Its own library research resources are available at no charge.

Although the center is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays from 1-4 p.m., researchers should contact the librarian in advance so materials can be ready. Call 215-679-3103 and ask for Hunt, or send an e-mail to hunt@schwenkfelder.org. Find more information online about the center and its research facilities.
