Volunteers Asked to Dig Into Spring Cemetery Restoration

April 11, 2024

POTTSTOWN PA – Volunteers are being sought to help with a spring community clean-up effort scheduled for Saturday (April 13, 2024) at Edgewood Historic Cemetery, 989 E. High St.

The cemetery during May will be the site of a “living history tour” about local influential women residents who are buried there, dating back to the 1700s. Saturday’s clean-up, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is intended spruce up the grounds ahead of the event. Volunteers can enjoy the spring warmth “while making a difference in our local community,” organizers said.

Tools and gloves will be provided. Volunteers who can bring and operate weed-whackers, small mowers, and saws “will be greatly appreciated,” they added.

Refreshments will be provided for volunteers thanks to Little Italy Pizzeria and The Pourhouse tap room, and Sodexo, the dining services company that serves The Hill School.
