Ms. Pickles’ Oversized Sandwiches Draw Diners’ Praise

Ms. Pickles’ Oversized Sandwiches Draw Diners’ Praise

April 2, 2024

POTTSTOWN PA – “Ms. Pickles” at 250 E. High St., a sandwich shop that’s among the latest locations to earn the title of “Pottstown’s Newest Restaurant,” marked its grand opening March 18 (2024; Monday).

Proprietor Mario Rashed is presenting a broad variety of hot and cold sandwiches, including the shop’s specialty. That would be hot, slow-cooked, homemade corned beef “piled high on toasted rye,” paired with Swiss cheese in regular and jumbo (full pound) sizes, and served with pickles. Try not to drool.

There’s more, of course. Also on the menu are eight other sandwich combinations, a trio of made-to-order empanadas (cheese, beef and cheese, and chipotle shredded chicken), home-style onion rings, two green salads, four prepared salads, two cheesecake desserts and other brownie, cookie, and cake choices, and a selection of five beverages.

Reviewers on Facebook, Twitter and other social media outlets are singing the shop’s praises, particularly the sheer size of Ms. Pickles’ meals. Several patrons claimed they were so full they couldn’t finish their choices until a second day. There’s more than enough to share or bring home for later eating, they testified.

There’s plenty of tables and seating for individuals and groups, too.

Ms. Pickles is now open Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and is closed Sundays. The shop has already been favorably compared to some of Philadelphia’s well-known delicatessens. Ordering is available by phone at 484-300-6000.
