OAKS PA – Delaware Valley families will again have a chance to walk among photorealistic dinosaurs during mid-April, when Jurassic Quest returns to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, 100 Station Ave. The show is scheduled for April 19 (Friday) from noon to 8 p.m.; April 20 (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; and April 21 (Sunday) from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Jurassic Quest herd of animated and lifelike dinosaurs are displayed in realistic scenes. Some move and roar, allowing guests to experience them as when they roamed Earth millions of years ago. Each dinosaur is replicated in detailed coloration, teeth size, textured skin, and fur or feathers, all drawing on latest research about how dinosaurs looked and moved.
Additional Jurassic Quest experiences include the ability to ride some dinosaurs, participate in interactive science and art activities like a fossil dig, an enjoy a soft play area for our little explorers.
The show’s current evolution also adds:
- “The Quest,” a self-guided scavenger hunt activity in which budding paleontologists can become junior dinosaur trainers;
- A new video tour featuring star “dinosaur trainers” Safari Sarah, Dino Dustin, Prehistoric Nick, and Park Ranger Marty; and
- New attractions launched since Jurassic Quest’s last visit, with “Raptor Run” races, and “Rope-a-Raptor,” where kids get “professional help” to lasso stray dinosaurs and return them to their pens.
Ticket availability
Advance purchase tickets for the event are available now online. All expanded activities are included with general admission. Tickets also will be sold onsite during the weekend, accompanied by a “guarantee that in the event of a show cancellation or postponement for any reason, ticket purchases will be automatically refunded for the full purchase amount,” according to its producers.
General admission tickets include access to the dinosaur exhibits, arts and crafts activities, and dinosaur shows. Other rides and activities may require purchase of additional tickets onsite, or guests can upgrade their admission to a “Kids Unlimited Ticket.” It’s promoted as “the best value for children ages 2-10.” Admission is free for children younger than age 2.
Guests can walk through the dinosaur experience at their own pace. Strollers are permitted. Socks are required for inflatable attractions. Some exhibits may have wheelchairs for use.
The April dates represent a re-scheduling of the show that was originally planned for January and later postponed. Tickets bought for the January event will be honored at the April shows on any day, according to its producers. Jurassic Quest Postpones Planned Show in Oaks to April
OAKS PA – Texas-based Jurassic Quest® said Monday (Dec. 11, 2023) it “is migrating its 160 million years of dinosaurs” presentations from originally scheduled dates of Jan. 5-7 (2023) at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, to April 19-21 at the same location. It did not explain why.
Those “who already purchased tickets don’t have to do anything,” the company stated. “Tickets already purchased for the January shows will be honored at the April shows for any day.” Ticket-holders with questions can contact Jurassic Quest customer service representatives by sending and e-mail to customerservice@jurassicquest.com.
