PENNSBURG PA – A blend of both fun and education is available for children ages 7-12 during a coming summer camp being offered July 29-Aug. 2 (Monday through Friday), daily from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, 105 Seminary St.
The camp, themed as “Traveling The Valley and Beyond,” focuses on travel and transportation from the past and present, in part by exploring the center’s historic exhibits and artifacts. Everything from the Conestoga Wagon through trains, planes, and automobiles will be examined using games, crafts, and related activities.
Snacks will be provided too. Campers are asked to bring their packed lunch and water bottle each day.

The Schwenkfelder is the regional history museum for Pennsylvania’s Upper Perkiomen Valley. Admission to visit exhibits or conduct research in its library is free. It is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and Sundays from 1-4 p.m.
