New in Easter Baskets? Sour Candy-Filled Marshmallows

New in Easter Baskets? Sour Candy-Filled Marshmallows

March 10, 2024

BETHLEHEM PA – Those buying Easter treats for children or grandchildren ahead of the March 31 (2024) holiday may find some stores stocked with a new product from the Bethlehem-based maker of Stuffed Puffs®. They’re marshmallows with a sour candy filling.

The egg-shaped confections carry Jolly Rancher-brand Sour Blue Raspberry- and Sour Watermelon-flavored fillings under a license with The Hershey Company, Stuffed Puffs LLC said in a media release.

The company said its Wednesday (March 6, 2024) product launch for Easter “represents a significant innovation for Stuffed Puffs, moving beyond their classic chocolate-filled offerings.” It combines “the soft, fluffy texture of marshmallows with the (candy’s) fun sour kick,” according to the manufacturer.

National retailers of the new Stuffed Puffs are reported to include Walmart, Kroger, and Dollar General stores, and others.
