PHOENIXVILLE PA – Dr. Andrea Pellegrino, a physician with experience in both family medicine and leadership, has been named as the new medical director of the Phoenixville Free Clinic, 143 Church St.

The clinic is a non-profit medical facility dedicated to providing free healthcare services to uninsured patients in the Greater Phoenixville area. Pellegrino’s appointment was announced Wednesday (Feb. 28, 2024) on its website.

Pellegrino has been an active volunteer at the clinic since 2022, and understands its role in serving its communities’ healthcare needs. “I am excited to further my role in supporting the community and the mission of the clinic,” she said, adding she was “so impressed (by) the dedicated staff and volunteers” and considered it “a privilege to serve the patients as a volunteer.”

Phoenixville Free Clinic Executive Director Christi Seidel said Pellegrino’s “commitment to our mission and extensive medical background make her a perfect fit for the Phoenixville Free Clinic.”

About the Phoenixville Free Clinic

Services provided to clinic patients include pediatrics, cardiology, allergy, gynecology, orthopedics, and a behavioral health program introduced in 2023. It also offers essential lab tests, diagnostic testing, and medications.

Through combined efforts of its staff, volunteer physicians and nurses, donors, and community partnerships, the clinic during fiscal 2023 alone provided care to 1,789 patients. Since its inception in 2002, under the leadership of Dr. Lorna Stuart and the Rev. Marie Swayze, the clinic has completed more 175,000 patient visits.
