KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Pothole repairs are planned this week (Monday through Friday, Feb. 26 to March 1) on state-maintained roads across parts of western Montgomery and northern Chester counties. Some drivers are expected to be affected by resulting traffic disruptions.
On the repair list are roads in portions of Pottstown and Green Lane boroughs, and the townships of Lower and Upper Pottsgrove, Limerick, Douglass (Montgomery), Upper Providence, Marlborough, Upper Hanover, Upper and Lower Salford, and Salford; as well as East Vincent, and East and South Coventry.
The work will be conducted on behalf of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation by maintenance and contractor crews, according to its District 6 office in King of Prussia.
Specific work locations include:
- U.S. Route 422 and associated ramps in Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, and Upper Providence;
- Route 100 in Pottstown, Upper Pottsgrove, and Douglass (Montgomery);
- Route 63 in Green Lane, Marlborough, Upper Salford, and Lower Salford;
- Allentown Road in Upper Hanover and Salford;
- Route 724 in East Vincent and East Coventry; and
- Route 23 in South Coventry Township.
Crews will restrict travel lanes on these state highways to patch areas of deteriorating pavement. Drivers are advised to be alert to their moving operations. Travelers can expect intermittent lane closures, and possible slowdowns when driving near work crews. All activities depend on acceptable weather.
Potholes and other concerns about state roads can be reported to PennDOT online, or by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD.
