Band ‘Big Time Rush’ Joins Headliners’ List at Musikfest

February 26, 2024

BETHLEHEM PA – Advance ticket sales began Friday (Feb. 23, 2024) for Big Time Rush (at top), slated to perform Aug. 9 and joining a lengthy list of headliner bands signed to storm the Wind Creek Steel Stage in Bethlehem as part of Musikfest 2024.

Canadian pop music band Crash Adams will open for Big Time Rush, in an evening presented with Musikfest partner radio station B104-FM. The gates open at 6 p.m., and the show kicks off at 7 p.m. on the Wind Creek Steel Stage in PNC Plaza at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way.

Ticket prices run from $40 to $109 (standing room only pit section). Steel Terrace tickets are $234, which includes dinner, drinks, and dessert at private tables under a covered tent.

From TV to tour fame

Big Time Rush became an overnight sensation in November 2009, when a scripted television show of the same name launched on Nickelodeon. The show focused on the Hollywood adventures of four hockey players from Minnesota after they were selected to form a boy band. The program became a success, and later the four came to life as a band off-screen.

Their TV show ended in July 2013 and, after four years of recording music and touring as a band, they went their separate ways but remained close friends through the years.

They re-emerged during the 2019 COVID pandemic, in part with performance of an acoustic version of their hit, “Worldwide.” During 2020, Big Time Rush received more than 10 million audio streams, and the four seasons of their television series were added to Netflix in March 2021.

The group kicked off 2022 with the launch of their sold-out Forever Tour. It also released all new music, including hit singles “Honey,” “Fall,” and “Not Giving You Up.” The Forever Tour sold more than 300,000 tickets, with sold-out shows in Chicago, New York City, and Mexico. The tour concluded in 2023 in South America.

Musikfest observes its 41st year
