Pottsgrove Recreation Offers Varied Youth, Adult Activities

POTTSTOWN PA – Time remains for residents of Lower, Upper, and West Pottsgrove townships to register themselves or family members for several seasonal programs and activities sponsored by Pottsgrove Recreation, an organization supported by the townships and the Pottsgrove School District.

Its spring and summer programming, Director Pam Ball reports, includes a variety of activities for youths and adults. Additionally, the Pottsgrove Community Band is welcoming newcomers to its corps of musicians.

Remaining on the youth recreation schedule

  • Playground pop-up on April 18 (Thursday);
  • Summer playground, June 17 to July 19;
  • New “Summer Nights” program, with more information coming soon, July 22 to Aug. 1; and
  • Dates for summer basketball, multi-sport and volleyball, yet to be announced.

Remaining on the adult recreation schedule

  • Pottsgrove Community Band practices now through May 20, in preparation for summer concerts during July and August;
  • Stompin’ Boots, a country line dancing class, on Wednesday evenings through May 15;
  • Volleyball on Tuesday evenings through May 28;
  • Walking Club, June 4 to Aug. 15; and a
  • Summer concert and ice cream night Aug. 4 in Sanatoga Park.
