POTTSTOWN PA – A group that crochets together stays calm together, too.
It’s the thinking behind a new “Crocheting Together Group,” which formed earlier this year in the Richard J. Ricketts Community Center at 658 Beech St. It will begin meeting there March 12, and thereafter on the second Tuesday of every month, from 6-7 p.m.
Admission is free. No advance sign-up is needed, the center added. Those with all levels of crocheting experience are invited to attend, it announced in a Facebook post. Just show up prepared to work for an hour on your crochet effort-in-progress, while joining others doing the same.
“Grab your favorite hook, yarn, and project, and come have a good time,” it urged.
The art of crochet helps calm the mind, allows participants to “create something beautiful,” and also offers the opportunity to “make new friends,” the center reported during January when the program was being organized.
Got questions? Contact Ricketts Center via Facebook Messenger, it said, “and we will connect you with the facilitators.”
