PennDOT Pothole Repairs Continuing on State Roads

PennDOT Pothole Repairs Continuing on State Roads

February 16, 2024

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Pothole repairs will continue next week on selected state highways in western Montgomery and northern Chester counties.

Crews working on behalf of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will fix pothole problems and other deteriorating pavement on five roads locally and, when possible, on their associated on- and off-ramps, the department’s District 6 office in King of Prussia reported.

In Montgomery County, work locations include:

  • U.S. 202 and associated ramps in Upper Merion Township and Bridgeport Borough;
  • U.S. 422 and associated ramps in Upper Merion, Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships; and
  • Route 100 in Pottstown Borough, Upper Pottsgrove, and Douglass townships.

The Chester County work locations include:

  • Route 23 in East Vincent and East Coventry townships; and
  • Route 724, also in East Vincent and East Coventry.

“Crews will restrict travel lanes” as part of their effort, the district office stated. Drivers “are advised to be alert of this moving operation, and to expect intermittent lane closures and possible slow-downs when driving near work crews,” it added. All activities depend on acceptable weather.

PennDOT reminded drivers that potholes and other roadway concerns on state roads can be reported by calling 1-800-FIX-ROAD, or on its Customer Care Center webpage.

Since Jan. 1, PennDOT said it has used more than 799 tons of asphalt to repair potholes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
