POTTSTOWN PA – These early week items of entertainment and civic interest are scheduled for Monday through Thursday (Feb. 12-15, 2024), and have been publicly announced.

Monday, Feb. 12

  • Weekly Constituent Service, 9 a.m. to noon, free, for residents of the 24th PA Senatorial District by Sen. Tracy Pennycuick’s staff, or call 215-541-2388, in North Hall at the Pottstown campus of Montgomery County Community College, 16 E. High St., Pottstown PA
  • Lower Pottsgrove Sewer Authority meeting, 6-7 p.m., free, in the township municipal building, 2199 Buchert Rd., Lower Pottsgrove PA

Tuesday, Feb. 13

  • Fastnacht Day, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., ticketed, annual celebration of making and eating Pennsylvania German “fastnacht” doughnuts on the day before Ash Wednesday and the Christian season of repentance known as Lent; at the Boyertown Museum of Historic Vehicles, 85 S. Walnut St., Boyertown PA
  • Non-Profit Meet and Greet, 3-4 p.m., free, for representatives of non-profit groups based or operating in the Perkiomen Valley area (advance reservations requested), a meeting organized by the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce to provide updates and “share recent challenges and successes,” at Verge CoWork, 104 W. 3rd Ave., Trappe PA
  • Pottsgrove School District Job Fair, 3-5 p.m., free, learn about job opportunities within the school district, advance registration requested online, held in the library at Pottsgrove High School, 1345 Kauffman Rd., Lower Pottsgrove PA
  • Operations and Facilities Committee Meeting, 5:30-7 p.m., free, open to the public, one of several committees that makes recommendations regarding district operations and structures to the Pottsgrove School District Board of School Directors, held in the Large Group Instruction Room at Pottsgrove High School, 1345 Kauffman Rd., Lower Pottsgrove PA
  • Pottsgrove Board of School Directors, 7-8:30 p.m., free, open to the public, first of two scheduled monthly meetings, held in the Large Group Instruction Room at Pottsgrove High School, 1345 Kauffman Rd., Lower Pottsgrove PA

Wednesday, Feb. 14

  • Weekly Constituent Service, 9 a.m. to noon, free, for residents of the 24th PA Senatorial District by Sen. Tracy Pennycuick’s staff, or call 215-541-2388, in North Hall at the Pottstown campus of Montgomery County Community College, 16 E. High St., Pottstown PA
  • Native Plant Transplanting, 1-3 p.m. (weather permitting), free, part of the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy native plant work days; help to transplant thousands of native plant plugs into 4-inch pots, dress in layers for warmth, all tools provided, no experience needed, park in the gravel lot behind the white barn with the red roof at the Jacob Reiff Park greenhouse, 775 Quarry Rd., Harleysville PA
  • “The Influence of Black Music & Dance,” a virtual discussion noon to 1:30 p.m., free to attend, register online, presented by the Montgomery County Black History Month Committee in Norristown PA
  • Yoga at the Perk, 7-8 p.m., ticketed, all levels welcome, led by yogi Lisa Maida, hosted by the Perkiomen Watershed Conservancy; participants must bring water, a yoga mat, and a towel; depending on weather yoga may be held indoors or outdoors, held at the conservancy, 1 Skippack Pike, Schwenksville PA

Thursday, Feb. 15

  • Concert: “Bach’s Lunch,” noon to 1 p.m. (on the third Thursday of every month), free and all ages welcome, scheduled musician is Daniel Horning on trumpet, bring a box lunch and eat as you listen, held at Community Music School, 775 W. Main St., Trappe PA
