PennDOT to Repair Highway Potholes Locally Next Week

Local Highway Potholes to Get PennDOT’s Attention

February 10, 2024

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Maintenance and contractor crews will be at work on more than 45 state highways next week, with at least six of them affecting traffic in 12 local municipalities, to repair potholes and deteriorated pavement across the Philadelphia region, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said. The work locations are:

In Montgomery County

  • U.S. Route 422 and ramps, West Pottsgrove, Lower Pottsgrove, Limerick, Upper Providence, and Lower Providence townships,
  • Route 100, Pottstown Borough, and Upper Pottsgrove and Douglass townships, and
  • Swamp Creek Road, Marlborough Township; as well as
  • U.S. Route 202 and ramps, Upper Merion Township and Bridgeport Borough,
  • Route 309 and ramps, Cheltenham, Springfield, Upper Dublin, Lower Gwynedd townships,
  • Church Road and Ashbourne Road, Cheltenham Township, and
  • Byberry Road, Hatboro Borough.

And in Chester County

  • Route 23, East Vincent and East Coventry townships,
  • Route 29, Charlestown Township, and
  • Route 724, East Vincent and East Coventry townships; as well as
  • U.S. 1, New Garden, Kennett, and East Marlborough townships,
  • U.S. 30, Valley and Caln townships,
  • U.S. 202, Thornbury, Westtown, and West Goshen townships,
  • U.S. 322, East Brandywine and Caln townships,
  • Route 10, West Sadsbury and Honeybrook townships,
  • Route 162, East Bradford Township,
  • Paoli Pike, East Goshen Township,
  • Chestnut Tree Road, Honey Brook and West Nantmeal townships, and
  • Corby Road, Penn Township.

Crews will restrict travel lanes on these highways to patch potholes and pavement. Drivers are advised to be alert of their moving operations, and to expect intermittent lane closures and possible slowdowns near work crews. All activities depend on acceptable weather.

Know a highway that needs pothole repairs? Tell PennDOT about them online, or call 1-800-FIX-ROAD. So far this season, the PennDOT District 6 office in King of Prussia has received more 1,600 customer concerns regarding potholes. As of Jan. 1, PennDOT also has used more than 551 tons of asphalt to repair potholes across the five-county Philadelphia region.
