PENNSBURG PA – Groundhog Day observances aren’t over yet.
The annual “Grundsau Lodsch fer Yunge” celebration Sunday (Feb. 11, 2024) from 1-3 p.m. at the Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center, 105 Seminary St., will include a lengthy list of “groundhog-related activities, making fun for all ages,” the center reported. The special program for children and their families includes cultural history, and also learning some Pennsylvania German dialect. Refreshments will be provided, too.
Advance registration is requested, the center added, “to ensure that we have enough food and supplies.” Register by calling Meredith Reinhart at 215-679-3103, Extension 28; or send her an e-mail to meredith@schwenkfelder.org.
The Schwenkfelder Library & Heritage Center is the regional history museum for the Upper Perkiomen Valley, and is open Tuesdays through Sundays. Admission to visit exhibits, as well as research in its library, is free.
