Traffic Restrictions Continue Next Week on U.S. Route 422

Travel Restrictions Due Monday for 422 Sign Inspections

January 27, 2024

KING OF PRUSSIA PA – Sign inspections Monday morning (Jan. 29, 2024) on U.S. Route 422 across portions of three municipalities may cause travel restrictions, according to the District 6 office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The inspections will be conducted on eastbound 422 from 9 a.m. to noon, PennDOT said. During that period, a moving right-lane closure may be expected across parts of West Pottsgrove, Pottstown, and North Coventry, between the highway’s Stowe and Route 100 interchanges, it added.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time as they travel through the work areas. PennDOT warned slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities depend on acceptable weather.

In addition to the inspections being done locally, others involving signs or bridges are scheduled to affect traffic in Philadelphia, Upper and Lower Merion, and Bensalem, the department reported.
